Tamara Al-Mashouk
Tamara Al-Mashouk is a visual artist whose multidisciplinary practice spans large-scale installations, performance, and video. Exploring the intersections of memory, the body, and architecture, her work reflects on movement, collective history, and place.
Rooted in Arabic traditions of hosting, Al-Mashouk’s practice responds to global crises such as Black Lives Matter, the Beirut explosion, and the occupation of Palestine. Through collaborations with transnational artists, poets, and performers, she creates spaces of solace, transforming grief and rage into love and action through art.
She has exhibited internationally at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston; Yuan Museum, Beijing; Today Is Our Tomorrow festival, Helsinki; and Fábrica de Arte Cubano, Havana.
