Biography

Corbin Shaw is a Sheffield-born artist based in Bethnal Green, London. A graduate of Central Saint Martins, his work explores British identity, folklore, and masculinity, often using subversive interventions to critique cultural narratives.

Shaw’s recent solo shows include Life Should Mean a Lot Less Than This (2025, The Fores Project, London), which used newspaper collage to explore shifting notions of English identity. In 2024, Eurotrash (Spazio Maiocchi, Milan) and Little Dark Age (Incubator, London) continued this focus through fragmented cultural references and traditional craft. Earlier exhibitions include The People Fled When The Sun Went Down (2023), For the Love of the Lads (2023), and Nowt As Queer As Folk (2022).

Alongside his exhibition practice, Shaw has developed a significant body of collaborative and commercial projects, including creative direction for Fred Perry, the Pet Shop Boys, Women’s Aid, and BBC Sport, as well as commissions with Selfridges and the Design Museum. His work has appeared in publications such as The Guardian, The Face, Dazed, EXIT, and Perfect Magazine, and he has been featured in conversations at institutions including the Institute of Contemporary Arts and the Design Museum.

In 2026, he was included in Forbes’ 30 Under 30 list for Art & Culture.
