Jungwon Jay Hur

Jungwon Jay Hur (South Korea, 1996) is a multidisciplinary artist who lives and works in London, UK. She received her BA in Fine Art: Painting from Wimbledon College of Art in 2019 and recently completed her MFA in Fine Art: Painting at the Slade School of Fine Art in 2022.

 

Working across painting, printmaking, film, and ceramics, Hur explores a diverse range of media in her practice.

 

Her recent solo exhibitions include A Woman from the Bird Egg at Incubator, London (2023) and Flee as a bird to your mountain at Hive Center for Contemporary Art, Shanghai (2024). In 2024 she exhibited in The Future of Loneliness at Guts Gallery, London, Our Teeth are Reefs at Slugtown (London), and Vessels at Cabin, Berlin. In 2025 her work has been included in presentations at Krupa Gallery, London, and Hive CCA in Shanghai, alongside participation in international art fairs including Asia NOW in Paris and NADA in New York with THIRD BORN.
